Held in Lingang on 22-25 October, the Shanghai International Reinsurance Conference has attracted over 1,300 participants of more than 360 organizations from 23 countries around the world. The theme for the event is “Embracing Openness for Mutual Benefits with Global Cooperation”. It marked the official launch of the Shanghai International Reinsurance Exchange. In conjunction with the launch, the conference was designed for industry experts to discuss both cross-border and domestic reinsurance services, digitization and information management in their respective areas.
Lockton China’s Reinsurance team joined the event and met with insurers, industry experts and representatives from financial institutions face to face. They focused on the utilization of the new exchange centre and its facilities to enhance service efficiency, security and standard while witnessing Shanghai took a further step to become high level international financial centre for the reinsurance industry.
